Martin races into Lucas Oil Topless 100; Fifth in Comp Cams make-up at Batesville
Returning to Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Ark.) for the rescheduled Comp Cams Super Dirt Series event on Thursday, Logan Martin unloaded his No. 36 machine for the make-up event as well as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Topless 100.
Already locked into the main event with his heat race result from July 29th, Logan was running inside the Top-5 when he pulled into the hot pit giving up his position. Rejoining the field from the tail, Martin tore through the field and moved all the way back to fifth when the checkered flag flew.
With 64 cars entered into the Topless 100 on Friday afternoon, Logan transferred into the $5,000-to-win preliminary feature and recorded a 18th-place outing.
Transferring to Saturday's A-Main through the second B-Main, Martin started the $50,000-to-win feature from the 20th position and completed all 100-laps to finish 16th.
